About Us
Embroidered Pelican's owner, Sue Urbach, has over 13 years experience in the embroidery industry. After the first order of custom T-shirts for a neighbor's Bar Mitzvah, the company's, then E&S Sportswear, list of customers grew to include many private schools and local public high school sports' teams, as well as club teams and area Country Clubs.
As E&S Sportswear's reputation for quality embroidery grew, the list of satisfied clients grew to include local retail stores, one specializing in custom monogramming and the other a national lacrosse retailer. Many colleges and universities, as well as the national teams, wore uniforms embroidered or tackle twilled by E&S Sportswear. E&S was also selected by "And 1" to provide all uniforms for the Fresno State's basketball team.
After a move to Florida in 2003, the name was changed to reflect the new territory, and Embroidered Pelican was born. The insistence on quality remains. Embroidered Pelican strives to bring quality embroidered merchandise, at a reasonable cost, to everyone. Focusing on small orders by requiring no minimums, is how Embroidered Pelican continues to put custom decorated items in the hands of small business owners, single sports teams and church and community groups. In addition to quality embroidery, Embroidered Pelican continues to work to provide unique custom merchandise. Many customers have items specially made by the company that are unavailable anywhere else in the marketplace. Embroidered Pelican was making fleece pillows years before any distributor manufactured them, and continues to offer specialty items not offered by other companies.
Embroidered Pelican is proud to be the "Official Embroidered" for the Tampa Bay Storm, and new in 2006, is the supplier for the Jesuit HS school store.
